Don’t miss the annual Jingle Bell Run this Thursday(12/04) at 6:15 from Luke’s Locker.  It is a social run but you can get that scheduled Tempo run in to as you channel the spirit of DASHER!!  SEE YA THERE!

On line registration has closed but you can still register at Luke’s Locker thru Halloween day!! Register before its too late…after 7PM on October 31st all will be lost and Woodlands Fit marathon training will be closed FOREVER!! (well, at least until July of next year)

It’s time to start training for The Woodlands Marathon. Pace placement is Saturday 30 August at 7am and our first group run will be 6 August…start time to be determined by your pace group. We will meet at Luke’s Locker and CHANGE YOUR LIFE, FOREVER!!

Hey all, while we are still getting the email lists finalized we will put the start times here for the next few weeks. Make sure you get with your coach and sign in for the run and notate issue if you are still not receiving emails.

The schedules are now available under the “Schedules” tab at the top of the Woodlands Fit page!! 🙂 The weekly schedule is accessible without a password. Get with your coach for the password to the full schedule.

Luke’s Thank You Shopping Event Tonight

Hey Woodlands Fit…Just a quick reminder…you should have received an exclusive invitation in the mail if you signed up for Woodlands Fit this season. Pace Placement Tomorrow

Woodlands Fit season starting line is just around the corner!!  

Our last pace placement is tomorrow morning at 8am.  If you can’t make it  just go to the “coaches” tab and contact the coach, via the email link at the end of the bio, you feel you belong to using the pace description of their group next to the coach’s name.

Meet at Luke’s Locker a few minuets early and we will walk over to Town Green Park and The Waterway to start our pace placement social run…social because you are supposed to be able to talk during the entire run to gauge your pace.

The first day of your training schedule will be Monday July 21st and the first organized run will be Saturday July 26th. The July 26th run will finish around 8am with the start time determined by your coach and the pace/distance of your group.

The schedule is getting a few last minute tweeks to incorporate Ten for Texas so it will be available this weekend. The password for the full schedule will be emailed to you by your coach.

Weather updates and instructions will be posted to this board. If there is lightning in the area we will not run, but we will be at Luke’s to have a meet and greet Q & A with coaches and new Woodlands Fit friends.

This schedule is tried and true and will get you to the finish line, like it has so many in the past! We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Change of location for Picnic!!

Hi Woodlands Fit Crew:

 

Our ‘Meet & Greet Picnic’ is still a GO! It has been MOVED TO LUKE’S LOCKER on Market Street. The picnic will still begin at 6:30PM & end at 8PM. There will be games & coloring books for the kids to keep them occupied. Sandwiches, chips, & water is still the menu for the evening. Looking forward to all of the yummy desserts from everyone!!

USA FIT Bad Weather Policy

If it is lightning and/or thundering in the morning it is USA FIT policy (‘Inclement Weather situations: Safety requires that if there is thunder and/or lightning, there should not be a scheduled meeting. If there is a threat of thunder or lightning, coaches and organizers need to err on the conservative side and not take their groups out. If the members decide to go out on their own it is the coaches’ responsibility to tell them it is not considered an official FIT meeting’pg.9-USA FIT HANDBOOK) that we can NOT have an official run. This email is being sent out as a precaution so all are aware of the policy. I will post on Facebook & our Woodlands Fit Website (www.woodlandsfit.com) if the Pace Placement is being rescheduled for the following weekend. If you do not see a post on Facebook/website by 6am and there is no thunder and/or lightning then we will be meeting at 7am.

Pace Placement @ 7am on July 13th! It isn’t too late to join the Woodlands Fit Adventure. If you have not signed up yet you can do so by clicking the ‘Register Now’ button on the Woodlands Fit home page. If you would prefer to register in person you can come early (6:45am) THIS Saturday morning and fill out a paper form (CASH OR CHECK ONLY!) We would love to have you join us.
