About Woodlands Fit Marathon Training Program
Believe it or not, we're just like you. We each decided one day that we would like to get into better shape, to make new friends, or maybe, just maybe, to run or walk a Marathon! But regardless of the specifics, we all share one common goal - to have more fun.
USA Fit began in 1989 with only 50 participants from around the Houston area. From there we have grown to 8 programs in the Houston area and over 1500 in the Memorial Park location. Many of our members have developed and continued friendships well after the marathon and others have conquered their goals only to move on to run more races, marathons and triathlons.
The common thread between most everyone has been a positive experience in stepping out of our comfort zones and discovering the ability that we each have to challenge ourselves beyond our expectations. All with the goal of running or walking a half or whole marathon.
Our goal is to educate and inspire each member through informational seminars. Safety education and motivation are the three key elements that enable our members to reach their goal and USA Fit provides these elements in a fun, well organized atmosphere.

Why it Works
Our local program works because it follows the successful format of the USA Fit program, which has been refined and improved since it began in 1989. The Runner's World Golden Shoe Award winning USA Fit programs have improved the health, fitness and wellness of thousands of people each year throughout the USA, Canada and around the world. Our Woodlands Fit Coaches have successfully completed many marathons themselves. We coach from personal experience in completing the Woodlands Fit program locally or in other cities, and we're excited to share our experience with you - come join us.
